CALL IT THE “FABRIC OF SOCIETY,” fashion created live for the audience, FROM the audience.

Photo-portraits transformed live into a high-fashion. Haute-ography is a unique interactive fashion experience, in which a dress is instantly created that captures an event, and the people who were there—literally.

In its first live iteration, at the French Cultural Embassy in New York, May 2006, celebrated photog John Gettings took Polaroid portraits of the guests, which House of Diehl dramatically transformed into an elegant, truly meaningful gown (itself a "snapshot")—in a live Instant Couture performance.
